project, I'm ripping all of my CDs to a NAS disk server.
Very long process.

The great room and dining room cornices
are up! They add a lot to the rooms.
-
I still don't have the speakers in the
dining room. My 7 foot stepladder is just a tad short. May
have to buy that scaffolding I've been looking at.

Zoë's dad is getting to be a REAL
geezer!

Installing speakers in the dining room
ceiling (I hate working on those 12 footers.

Installing a separate 100 watt amplifier
to drive the exterior speaker systems.

Cornices for the great room door-wall
and dining room door are in work. The great room monstrosity
is close to 17 ft. long and a real bear to handle. I may
have to wrangle up a little son-in-law help to help me hang
the sucker.

know that every morning when you wake up, it's your job to
go and lie to people?

For the holidays, Laurel made this cool
table center piece/decor with a length of ribbon, a
lacquered bowl and a dozen or so Granny Smith apples.
Holidays are pau and the apples wound up in a most delicious
and incredibly beautiful tart. How's that for conservative?

The holidays brought a new member to the
Hale Nani family; Wanda, the Roomba robotic vacuum cleaner.
We've sent her on a couple of test runs in the office,
master bath and media room and despite a few limitations,
I'd say she's doing a pretty good job. When pau sucking, she
even drives back to her docking port for a battery recharge.
