A couple of weeks before we broke ground, we rescued a few baby "orphan" cacti from the lot and planted them in a small succulent dish garden. On Monday, August 4th, the cacti exploded with blooms. The flowers resemble little haku leis--appropriate for Hale Nani. Think these blossoms foretell blooming construction progress?
